Fashion Essentials Every Chatham Woman Must Have (Part 1)

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chatham chapter.

A Plain White Button Up Shirt
Throughout college, you’ll find yourself going on several job/internship interviews, and you might even need to dress “business professional” for certain events. A white button up gives lots of versatility and can be used over and over. It’s an easy piece to dress up or down depending on accessories. You can pair it with a cute patterned skirt or a professional pencil skirt to make your look more office-friendly.

Cute Rain Boots (critical in Pittsburgh!)

Let’s be real here: We live in one of the rainiest cities in the United States. Unfortunately, that means that rain boots are a staple in any Pittsburgh college student’s wardrobe since the weather always seems to be fluctuating. If you have to wear them often, you might as well make sure they’re cute!

A Black Bandage Skirt

A black pencil skirt looks sleek and sexy for any night occasion, whether it is a nice dinner out with your girlfriends or a party.  They tend to go with just about anything (especially in black) and can easily be paired with a cute floral top or even a sheer lace top (with a black tank top or bandeau under).

A Sturdy Crossbody Bag

For a night out, this is especially essential. You of course don’t want to bring a bag that you have to set down, risking the possibility of losing it or having it stolen, yet you know you need to bring your phone, ID, and money. Enter the cross-body bag! Easily wearable, cute, and sturdy, these bags will definitely hold up through a long night, and better yet, you won’t have to worry about losing the essentials.
