A Collegiette’s Toast to the College Life

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at App State chapter.

We’ve all heard it time and time again. College is the best four (or five, or six…) years of our lives.

Unfortunately, most of us are wasting way too much time over-analyzing that text our crush sent us or even our major. I know I am not the only one who has changed my major four times. Instead of worrying so much about what career path our major will take us, we should pick a major based on what we love to do.

So, I’ve decided that I’m done over-thinking every situation and worrying so much.

This is college. This is the only time in our lives where we can get away with wearing sweats three days out of the week and spending all day in bed recovering from the night before (or just because we feel like it).

We can join a club on campus just because it sounds interesting. You never know, you could end up meeting your new best friend or discover a new passion. These are OUR years. It’s time to figure out who we are. The only way that’s going to happen is if we take a few chances and make some mistakes.

So here’s to college: embrace every moment, take chances, and stop worrying so d*mn much.
