It’s my experience that everyone plays the adjective game during freshman orientation; what was your adjective?
Dashing Dexter, I was a little full of myself my freshman year.

In ten words or less, describe your personal style.
Very preppy, or some would say “fratty”. Either works for me.

What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for your girlfriend?
For Valentine’s Day last year I pulled out all of the stops. I cooked her homemade meatballs and spaghetti for dinner. While I was cooking for her, my fraternity brothers helped set up a romantic scene in my room. I had a table with a white sheet, roses on the center, rose petals on the table, and a candle. I had mood lighting too. I invited her to my room and one of my brothers was standing outside acting as a host. He opened the door and sat us at our table. Two of my others brothers were in the room when we entered. One poured our wine and the other played violin while we had our dinner. We finished the dinner with apple pie.

If you had to pick one thing about William & Mary that you love most, what would it be and why?
There are a million things that I love about W&M. I would have to say my favorite thing would be all of old campus, especially the Wren building. I just love the history that it holds and the look of it all. I consider William and Mary my home.

What organizations are you involved in on campus? Why did you choose to get involved in these organizations?
I am involved in quite a few things on campus. My freshman and sophomore year I played varsity football. I ended up “retiring” because I wanted to be involved in other things. After retiring I rushed Kappa Delta Rho and applied to be a Resident Assistant. I have been an RA in Monroe for the past two years and I love every minute of it. I really wanted to get involved with campus and I figured that a fraternity and Residence Life were two great opportunities to do that.
The other major organization that I am a part of is 1 in 4. It’s an all male sexual assault awareness group on campus that I joined freshman year. I acted as scribe my sophomore year and training coordinator my junior year. I joined this group my freshman year because of a few family members and close friends that have been affected by sexual violence. In high school I never really got the chance to talk about it and this group gave me that chance. After joining the group I found my passion for the cause was stronger than I knew. Since then I have held and internship at Avalon: A Center for Women and Children, a local shelter for women who have survived domestic and sexual violence. At the end of my internship I was hired on as a part time employee.

What’s your number one thing to do on your bucket list?
I would love to travel all over the world. The farthest I have been from my home is Las Vegas. I want to meet different people from around the world and learn about the different cultures.

Do you have any advice to incoming freshman about the next four years?
Enjoy it and try everything! I am a senior and I can barely believe it. I remember moving into my dorm my freshman year. Now I am a senior and looking back on an amazing four years I’ve had at the College. I was lucky to have tried so many different things on campus and I think that really helped me to find myself. I wish that I could have four more years and do it all over again. These next four years will fly by but they’ll be some of the best years of your life. William and Mary will always be my second home.
