If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

The dream would be to live in a rustic hunting lodge in Scotland with a roaring fireplace and a big dog, but my safety plan is to sail a large yacht around the world.

Who is your biggest role model?

My high school lacrosse coach made a huge impression on me, especially during my senior year, when I had a tendency to find myself in some trouble at times.  He always had my back and through it all served as a great role model for the type of mentor I hope to one day be myself.

What has been your favorite thing about Duke?

Watching doors open for myself and my friends.  I love how the institution and community of Duke can help people achieve their dreams.

What’s your favorite Duke memory?

Basketball brings out the best on this campus, and the celebrations of our wins against Carolina have always been great.  The 2011 win will always be close to my heart.  I remember giddily dancing around the bonfire like the Blue Devil worshipping pagan I am come winter and eventually coming face to face with Kyrie.  “Kyrie!” I said.  “Drew!” I imagine he enthusiastically responded.  We then pulled each other tight.  His strong arms wrapped around me as he gazed into my burning sapphire eyes.  In the glow of that celebratory blaze we shared a glorious, flaming moment.  At least, thats the way I remember it.

If you could relive one time of your life, what would it be and why?

I dream of returning to the world of the summer after my first year at Duke.  That summer I skipped out of spring finals to go jump out of airplanes for the Army for a few weeks, and then went to study in England. For a few months, I lived an idyllic life.  Meals were all I could eat.  The town featured unlimited running paths.  I lived out of pubs.  Weekends were opportunities to travel with some of the great friends I made.  It was that perfect summer where I lived my life exactly how I wanted.  And then it ended and I was beyond broke, so I came back to reality.

Who is your celebrity crush (1 guy, 1 girl, 1 fictional)?

Bear Grylls, Alex Morgan, Princess Belle

What’s the theme song to your life?

The Rising – Bruce Springsteen

What do you think about the 50 Shades of Grey obsession?

The summation of my knowledge is that this is a series of books having something to do with gratuitous sex.  So I guess I am a big supporter. I also appreciate all books set in Washington.  Even Twilight got that part right.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Tilapia grilled with peppers and pineapple.

What is one fashion trend you’ll never understand or hate?

High heels in general.

Sabrina is a Junior at Duke University, and is double majoring in English and Public Policy. A born and bred South African, Sabrina has traveled to the USA to pursue her higher education. As well as being a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, Sabrina is also Assistant Vice President for Recruitment for the Panhellenic Association at Duke. Sabrina has written for Duke's daily newspaper, The Chronicle and Duke's fashion magazine, FORM. After graduating, she hopes to attend law school preferably in her favourite city, New York. In her spare time, Sabrina vegges out to various fashion blogs, mindless TV (Pretty Little Liars anyone?) and online shopping (which borders on an addiction). If you manage to catch her in an energetic mood, she's probably on her way to cardiodance (or to the nearest mall).
