Faux fur has emerged as the statement piece this winter. It’s a stylish way to stay warm while still looking fierce. Whether you’re a city girl, rocker chick or western hipster, fur can add an extra pop to your outfit.

Just pretend you’re Blair Waldorf shopping in Manhattan. A fur accent is perfect for drinks at the Plaza and Fifth Avenue while you’re shopping. Color block with a tight, white sweater dress and an animal-spotted fur jacket.

Grunge out as a rocker chick with jagged lines, patterns, and an extra voluminous fur jacket. Pair the patterned jacket with a pair of tight-fitting combat boots.

Keep an eye open for colors and patterns that appear natural; this will add to your earthy, hipster vibe. Try a monochromatic look — different shades of the same color. Pair a black fur with a dark grey sweater and black jeggings.

This final tip is my personal favorite. Throw a tan fur vest over a black leather jacket on a cold winter day like in the picture above. You’ll instantly look like a rock star!! Here are some other examples of how to rock the faux fur look:
