Who Run L.A.? We Run L.A.!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCLA chapter.

TROY HAS FALLEN! It’s that time of year again when we faced off against the “other” school located across town. This past week (as Bruins know it for Rivalry Week) has gotten all the students pumped and ready for the big game: UCLA vs. USC.

This game is not like every other game. Other football games seem simply a way to enjoy a pastime and it always seems like the games are just for pure fun to watch. When Bruins fight against the Trojans, there is more tension in the air, more emotion, and it feels like everything is at stake. After a few hours of Bruin football players playing their hearts out at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the Bruins came out the victors! It sure does feel good knowing we have the Victory Bell for another year in our side of town and in the color it’s meant to be in: a beautiful shade of true blue.

On November 30, 2013, UCLA defeated USC to a score of 35-14. Although short of three points of last year’s game, that definitely beats lasts year score of UCLA – 38 to USC – 28. Football coach Jim Mora once again led the team to another victory and it definitely won’t stop there. The football game rivalry may be done with for the year but Bruins are always anti-Trojan year round 24/7. They won’t be heard bragging about their football team anytime soon. Who run L.A.? UCLA!
