How to Look Wonderful While Still Being Warm

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SJU chapter.

Many times comfort and warmth are sacrificed in the name of fashion, while vice versa… fashion is sacrificed for warmth and comfort. Ladies, it is time we find the balance! The temperature is dropping on Hawk Hill and with the holidays around the corner we can’t afford to catch a cold. Here are some great additions to warm up your winter wardrobe!

A Long Coat

I’m going to come right out and say it. A coat that extends past your butt will keep you 100x warmer. You might not think a long coat is for you but I urge you to go try some on, your perfect coat is out there. The best styles this winter are the “Puffer Coats” and the traditional “Pea Coat”. When buying a coat you must decide what exactly you are looking for. You need to determine color, hood or no hood and of course price.

Glittens

            J. Crew has introduced me to the world of “Glittens” and it is wonderful. There is something so cozy about mittens but to me honest they can cause difficulties. How do I text/snapchat without use of my fingers. Well ladies “Glittens” are here. The mix of gloves and mittens give you exactly what you need for the cold winter days.

Headwraps

Hats are cute but hat hair is not. These seem to eliminate such issue (not fully…sorry). A head wrap is a cozy way to cover your ears but still allow for your glamorous locks to flow.

Stay warm ladies xo
