20 Signs You Go To Bloomsburg

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bloom U chapter.
  1. You have incredibly muscular legs from constantly walking up hills.
  2. You avoid the bookstore at all costs because you will undoubtedly leave with 4 new t-shirts and 2 overpriced textbooks you didn’t need.
  3. You always bring an umbrella to class…
  4. …yet, you’re still always unprepared for rain.
  5. Scheduling a class on 3rd Floor Bakeless…so many steps…
  6. As hard as you try, you’re never able to escape the Bible-thumpers.
  7. You don’t have enough room for all your friends that want to visit for Block Party.
  8. Knowing the post-Commons/IK food coma is totally worth it, until you feel sick 2 hours later.
  9. You already owe the town of Bloomsburg over $100 in parking tickets.
  10. You look like this when you see the bus when you’re anywhere on campus…
  11. You’ve taken the most random Gen-Eds because all your real classes were closed by the time you scheduled.
  12. But there’s that one semester when you got all the classes you needed…
  13. You’re a senior and you still can’t navigate Hartline.
  14. Finding a group study room is Bloomsburg’s own version of the Hunger Games…
  15. You try to use Flex / Gold at your Starbucks at home.
  16. When you try to tell your friends that WaWa is better than Sheetz…
  17. You start out finals week with a motivated attitude…
  18. …but by Wednesday, you and roommates look like this…
  19. …and by Friday…
  20. But we’ll always love our favorite college town.
Kathryn is a loquacious and driven senior at Bloomsburg University studying English. Journalism has been her focus for almost eight years and she's slightly excited but mostly petrified of exploring her career options in a few short months. She can be found roaming the halls of Bakeless, yelling into the abyss in BU's student newspaper The Voice's office or making pancakes for her roommates.Check out her personal blog and her study abroad blog.
