Get to Know Your DA: Jinexa Nunñez

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kenyon chapter.

Meet this week’s DA, Jinexa!

Year: 2016Favorite memory of my time at Kenyon so far: My first time picnicking and swimming with friends in the Kokosing on a lovely spring day.

Why I chose to become a DA: I chose to be a DA because everyone should be heard and supported and because I want to contribute to the development of a campus that is more embracing, aware, and positive

Advice that I would give myself on the first day of Kenyon if I could go back in time: One day you will thank yourself for all the awkward mingling you did freshman year.

Diversity-related issue that I’m most passionate about: Bringing about equal educational opportunities for children and families of disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds.

Ally Bruschi is a senior political science major at Kenyon College. She spent this past summer interning as a writer with both The Daily Meal, a digital media group  dedicated to "all things food and drink" and The Borgen Project, a non-profit organization that partners with U.S. policymakers to alleviate global poverty. Before entering the "real world" of jobs, however, Ally spent many summers as a counselor at an all-girls summer camp in Vermont, aka the most wonderful place on earth. A good book, a jar of peanut butter, a well-crafted Spotify playlist, and a lazy dog could get her through even the worst of days.
