Friday started off with a 2:45 am wake up call. And yes it was as bad as it sounds! From there all 9 of us took a taxi at 3:30 am to the main train station to then catch a bus to the airport. If our flight wasn’t so early we could have just taken the tram but public transportation isn’t open that early in the morning! We arrived at the airport and went through security. I feel like I’m going to be a professional flyer by the time I get home! We waited at the gate where I was surprised to see a bus waiting for us, not a plane. We had to take a bus to get to our plane which was parked outside. We flew Ryanair to Paris and I’m not going to lie, I was pretty scared! I haven’t heard the best things about Ryanair so I was anxious for the flight. We took off around 7 am so the sun was up and i had a beautiful view out my window! We flew on the coast of Italy to get to Paris and it was amazing to see the Mediterranean as well as the coast! I was kind of in awe as I looked out from high above the sea!

We landed safely in Paris which earned a well deserved round of applause from the passengers. I was so glad to be safely on the ground after hitting several patches of turbulence. This trip was not only a first for my Ryanair experience but my first time in a hostel as well! We arrived and were pleasantly surprised with our home for the next 2 days! After checking in, we ate lunch at this cute cafe and headed to the Eiffel Tower!

We were so excited to finally see it and were AMAZED when we arrived. We took a ton of pictures, of course, and made our way to the line to buy tickets to go to the top. After a long elevator ride up we were standing at the top of the Eiffel Tower. I can not put into words how amazing it was. We all stood there in awe for about an hour looking at our view of all of Paris. I am so blessed to have this experience to see all of these amazing sights and it hit me as I stood onto of the Eiffel Tower.

Next we headed to the Arc De Triomphe. By the time we got there the sun had set so we got to see it all lit up. It was beautiful!! Paris is so pretty and very clean. The streets have no trash and the buildings are beautiful. It is much more modern compared to Rome and it is awesome to be in another country!

Yesterday began around 9:00 am as we left to go to the Louvre. This museum is the home to the Mona Lisa among many other things. It’s so crazy to say that I saw the Mona Lisa in real life! There were also amazing statues everywhere and paintings that covered all of the walls. After the museum we headed to the Notre Dame Cathedral. It was beautiful! We got there right as the bells were going off so that was cool to see as well. We headed to the Love Lock Bridge next. It was amazing! The bridge was so colorful as it was adorned with locks all over!

Today, we woke up at 5 to catch our flight back to Rome. This trip to Paris was amazing and something I will remember forever. After this trip, I am so excited to continue my journey to many other countries!
