How to Look Cute in the Winter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bentley chapter.

This is one cold winter! I don’t know about you, but I hate winter! It is that one time of year you have to wear as many layers as possible to try and stay warm. But fear not – you can still look adorable even in this awful weather!

The Peacoat

Giving you the warmth you need for winter with a clean and classy look!

Burlington Coat Factory, Target and Old Navy have cute and very inexpensive peacoats. But if you are willing to spend a little more J.Crew and Sterlingwear of Boston have the best bang for your buck!

The Hat

I love hats. I wear different hats all times of the year – from baseball caps to Mad Bombers. But especially in winter – a hat is a necessity. Now before you yell at me – I know, hair. Sometimes you have to sacrifice it…plus a little hairspray goes a long way to prevent static!

Polyvore has the coolest knit hats. They are both warm and just add the finishing touch to your cute winter outfit!

The Scarf

Okay, okay! I know the scarf is totally overexposed, but come on! How else are you going to keep your neck warm and still look cute?

I have recently become obsessed with the Infinity Scarf. They come in all different sizes – ranging from massive/floppy/super warm to thin/delicate/just perfectness! And let’s be honest – who actually knows the right way to wrap a normal scarf? The infinity scarf is just so simple and so cute!

The Gloves

One thing that I hate more than anything is having to take my gloves/mittens off to text someone, but these are the greatest invention in the history of forever and I am so happy they have really cute ones!

Smart Touch Gloves have been around for a few years now but they were kind of ugly and not cute. Now places like Betrendme (pictured above) and Target have much smaller and sleeker ones. Oh, did I mention they are cute?

The Boot

Ever since I can remember my dad has always worn these! For the longest time I thought they were so dorky, until I had to dig my car out and the only boots lying around were my mums. I have never looked back since!

L.L. Bean Boots are single-handedly the greatest boot ever invented. End of story. I’m sorry to the Ugg lovers out there, nothing compares to these! My father and mother have had their Bean Boots for over 20 years! They will never rip, never tear, and they are super warm and perfect. Did I mention they are adorable – and the new “It” thing on all college campuses?!
