Makeup has become an essential thing for most young ladies now. There is nothing wrong with covering up some minor flaws (like acne scars) and enhancing the features your parents gave you. It’s pretty common now for people to spend the extra dough on more high end products. Regardless of whether you have drugstore or high-end makeup in your collection, you need to know these tips about to get full use out of your makeup products, so every penny doesn’t go to waste.
Concealers/ Lip gloss/ anything in a tube
We all have at least one product that is in a tube that we use a doe-foot applicator or built in brush to get to the product. There is always some product that’s hard to get to with the applicators. Don’t throw it out just yet, there are still a few uses when you use this tip:
1. Get a microwave safe cup and fill it with water
2. Microwave it until the water is very hot (be careful) usually for about a minute and a half
3. Once the water is heated, take the cup and place it on a flat surface
4. Place all of your makeup tubes in the cup and let them sit for minutes
5. After 5 minutes, take them out and voila all the product has sunk to the bottom for easier access
This trick gets the most out of every drop or your makeup without harming the product itself.
Shattered powders
It has happened to all of us at least once- something happens to our favorite powders and it becomes absolutely shattered. Don’t worry, it still can be saved and put it tact. You can save it with the pressing method. Basically, you shatter the powder even more and and rubbing alcohol (which will eventually absorb and wont harm the makeup) and press the makeup. Also to get the most use out of your makeup, remember your makeup has multiple uses!
Concealer does not have to just be used to conceal under the eyes and on zits. You can also use it for an eyeshadow primer, it neutralizes any redness there and your eyeshadow sticks. Also, if you think about it, it can also be used as a foundation for lighter days. Just put the concealer in any areas with discoloration or unevenness and blend. If you need more coverage you can always build on it. Foundations go the same way, sometimes if you don’t have concealer with you, just get a small bit of the foundation and apply it to the areas that need more concentration. You can still use makeup that is not the right shade. If it is too light for you, apply it on certain areas for a natural highlight. If its too dark you can apply it to bronze your face or for a natural contour.
Bronzer can also be used for your eye shadow! And your eye shadows can be used for powders to highlight or contour your face (just depending on the color).
