Merrimack Senior, Daniela Colucci, who is graduating in May, has made many lasting memories and achieved many accomplishments during her time at Merrimack. Colucci is from Stoneham and is majoring in Business Management with a minor in Italian Studies. Her hobbies include reading, shopping, dancing, laughing and hanging out with friends.
Colucci stays very involved on campus due to her role as an RA (Resident Advisor). She has been an RA for the past two years. Last year she was an RA in Deegan West and this year she is an RA in the apartments. Colucci enjoys being and RA and stated that she loves getting to know people and meeting new people. Aside from being an RA, Colucci is captain of the Merrimack Dance Club. She also has a job at a law firm off campus. Although Colucci has a busy schedule she is still able to focus on her academics. She is in Sigma Iota Epsilon (SIE), a National Honorary and Professional Management Fraternity which she received for having a GPA above 3.25 and doing exemplary in her business management classes.
The best thing about Merrimack, according to Colucci is the atmosphere. She said that “You can always find someone to talk and laugh with.” Some advice she has for incoming freshmen is to “be yourself, don’t be afraid to make mistakes, and talk to everyone!” She further added that “These are the years where you try new things, fall and get back up, and make great friends and memories on the way. Just remember college is what you make it, so have fun, and enjoy every minute of it.”
Her plans after graduation are to enjoy her summer by spending time at the beach. In September she plans to look for a job and apply to graduate school for teaching. Wherever Colucci goes we are sure she will continue to excel, much like she has done at Merrimack.
