8 Things To Do Without Internet

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CCCU chapter.

1 Write a Story/ Poem/ Song Or Draw Something

Have a go at something different and creative, remember it’s not about writing the next biggest love ballad anthem of all time, it doesn’t have to resemble Picasso or Van Gough’s talent, it’s just something that will allow some expression out, write a diary entry, just have a go, if it doesn’t interest you, at least you tried.

2 Go For a Walk

Whether you live in the city or in the beautiful countryside, you would be surprised what a walk can do for you. Walking releases good endorphins, keeps your heart healthy and tones legs, bum and tum.

3 Do a Workout

Look…when we have the internet, we mentally work out but sometimes we forget to go outside and physically move! So go and blast “Eye of the Tiger” by “Survivor” do a few sit ups, it may hurt now but you will be thankful when you start seeing those abs!

4 Read a Book

That book that has been collecting dust, the book that feels horribly neglected since you spend all your time on the internet, give that book a go.  Just like with writing or drawing, give it go – if you read the first 15 pages and it’s not what you’re after at least you tried to do something productive.

5 Try a New Style/ Hairstyle/ Make Up

Have a go at the half-up half-down hair style, experiment with some different eye shadows, perfect that smoky eye look. Try and create some different outfits see what you can do.

6 Tidy Up

We all know we would rather do our homework and assignments than to tidy our room, but what better time? You will probably find that top that you thought the washing machine ate, and you will be so happy that you don’t have to walk around your room like a bomb has gone off! Believe it or not, having a tidy room will encourage you to be more productive.

7 Spend Time with Family and Friends

They might be nice people. Admit it, it’s so easy to not actually physically communicate with someone when Facebook lets you do it all from you’re bed, however being around friends and family can help pass the time.

8 Cook/ Bake

Nothing like a good home-made dinner, what about all those “Simple Student Recipe Books” your parents got you? Go on give it go! Who doesn’t like some yummy rice crispy cakes!
