What to Order at Starbucks if You Don’t Drink Coffee

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

If you’re like me, then when you say you don’t drink coffee, all your friends gasp in amazement. Starbucks runs used to terrify me; I felt like everything was in another language and I had no idea what to order. After a few years of practice, I’ve finally nailed the whole Starbucks thing, and I’ve got the perfect drinks to order if you don’t like coffee!

Frappuccinos

Frappuccinos are the perfect drink for the non-coffee-obsessed. Though admittedly some of the flavors do have a bit of a coffee taste to them (the mochas and the javas), plenty of options contain absolutely no coffee! The Double Chocolately Chip, Caramel, and Strawberries and Crème are some to try if you’re looking for no coffee taste. If you’re feeling adventurous, give the Java Chip or Salted Caramel Mocha a shot!

Teas

Personally, I’m not a tea drinker, but I know plenty of people are. Whether it’s iced or hot, tea is a great substitute to get some of the caffeine of coffee without the bitter aftertaste. Starbucks carries all kinds of Tazo and Teavana flavors, so there’s something for everyone!

Hot Chocolate

Starbucks even makes hot chocolate fancy! They have the basic (read: boring) version, but there are also some unique flavors to try. Personally, I like the Salted Caramel, but the Peppermint and White Hot Chocolate are also delicious. And don’t be afraid to order it even though it’s listed under the “Kids’ Drinks” section!
