Dear Comm Ave Bus,

I feel like we have a big love-hate relationship. There are so many times when you’re so great. The walk to my boyfriend’s apartment would be 25 minutes without you. I would never know the joys of Starbucks, Applebee’s, Eagle’s Deli, or even CVS if you weren’t around. And we all know the D line trumps the B line any day, so thanks for that!

But, you are still kind of the worst. Like okay, this may not be your fault, but why does TransLoc never work properly?! Why on earth don’t all the buses track? This app was designed to help me never miss the bus, but most of the time it does absolutely nothing. That’s dumb.

Also, why do the “Not in Service” buses still run the routes? I get my hopes up thinking I timed my walk perfectly to catch a bus, only to be let down when it speeds right past me. I don’t even understand what “Not in Service” means. Obviously you’re not broken if you’re still driving; why can’t you stop to pick me up?

And let’s talk about the fact that you sit at Conte for 15 minutes. Why? It seems like such a waste of time. Rather than waiting around for people who usually don’t show up, why can’t you run the route another time to help more people? That just seems like common sense to me, but I don’t know.

And your speed. You’re way too fast. Especially when there aren’t any seats (which happens ALL THE TIME). I can’t handle balancing with my backpack weighing me down and because I’m too short to reach the overhead bars, most of the time I end up awkwardly surfing and falling into whoever is around me and most of the time it’s a random stranger. All this simply because you’re driving way too fast.

Comm Ave Bus, I love you, but get your act together.
