How to Love the Cold

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tufts chapter.

As sweater weather slowly sneaks its way up on us, we get the summer blues, saying goodbye to the days we could wear our favorite Brandy Melville sundresses paired with all of our cute sandals.  We snuggle up under our blankets, longing for those amazing warm afternoons we would chill with our friends and listen to our favorite summer Spotify playlists on the Hill.  How can we escape this summer nostalgia?  How can we see the temperatures gradually dropping on our weather apps and stay excited as we realize that we are no longer able to wear our favorite jean shorts?  How can we see our long-sleeves quickly making their way to the top of our clothes piles and keep a positive attitude about the weather we will soon have to confront outside? Look no further! This blog will give you ways to love the cold!

1.     Warm Drinks

Whether it’s a PSL from Starbucks or a Lucy in the Chai from The Rez, warm drinks make any cold day better!

2.     Sweaters

Sweaters are an easy way to make any outfit absolutely adorable and super comfortable.  Take advantage of your opportunity to rock the super cozy and stylish look!

3.     Screensavers

Make your laptop screensaver a picture of something that is warm and happy, like a beach, to brighten up your day.

4.     Music

Listen to upbeat music on your way to class to get you pumped for the day and distract you from the coldness.

5.     Boots

The cold weather gives you the best excuse to wear all of your favorite boots! Whether you rock the classic riding boot or the edgy Doc Martens, they are a fun way to make any outfit super trendy.
