Halloween is THE time for some creative thinking! You really don’t want to show up at a party with a cheap sexy nurse or cop costume, do you? We all know that here at Her Campus City we are much better, creative and innovative than that.
Halloween is about having fun, eating lots of sweets, drinking (probably too much booze) and being someone different for one night. To save you the time, here are two different shops close to our campus that sell actual proper, cheap, and sometimes scary Halloween costumes. Shock! Horror! Take a look!
- Beyond Retro
First up, vintage clothes stores Beyond Retro, situated in Soho, Dalston and Brick Lane. Particularly well-known for their vintage clothes, this year they have gone the extra mile. They have taken a selected amount of vintage clothes and ‘zombified’ them, making perfect for the Halloween season. One of a kind vintage pieces included wedding dresses, silk nightgowns and prom outfits that have been splattered with blood to save you the hassle. The best bit? Your costume will be a complete original… And what girl doesn’t love that concept? Even better, these pieces won’t break the band as prices range from £12 to £45.
- Morph Costumes
Our second pick is Morph Costumes. Since they started out in 2009, Morph Costumes has grown steadily going from selling just six different costumes to 305 for adults and children! They sell the biggest variety of costumes that you’ve probably ever seen, including superheroes, Power Rangers, zombies, pirates and costumes based on movie stars, books, TV shows, games and so much more. In case you want to make a big impact, they even sell couples and group costumes. Prices are decent, starting from around £20 and going up to £50.
