The Stages of Accepting Chicago’s Cold Weather

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Northwestern chapter.

Baby, it’s getting cold outside.

1.     You assume that since was in the upper-60s last week, it can’t be that bad out. But you step outside and freeze and promptly step back in to defrost.

2.     You learn how to better prepare yourself for next time.

3.     You realize there’s no point in fighting the cold. It wants to be here.  Forever, you and it, everyday.

4.     It angers you when friends in moderate climates complain about the temperature being a little “chilly.”

5.     Because you’re a pro now.
