Rob Denham: Collegiate 100’s Newest Member

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cincinnati chapter.

Rob Denham has been committed to being a very active student at UC since he stepped foot on our campus. He’s one of the friendliest, most familiar faces around, and I can almost guarantee you’ve run into him somewhere, whether in class, in an organization, or even at work! I got the chance to sit down with this well accomplished businessman. Read on to see why he is this week’s Campus Celebrity

Name: Rob Denham

Age: 21

Year and Class: 4th year, Class of 2016

Major: Urban Planning (Minor: Architectural Studies)

Hometown: Columbus, OH

Campus Involvement: Member of Collegiate 100 Black Men’s Honorary, Treasurer for United Black Students Association, Student Ambassador in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, ROAR Tour Guide, Habari Gani Ambassador, Member of the Planning Students Organization

Her Campus: Who is your biggest celebrity crush?

Rob Denham: Lauren London!

HC: Why did you choose UC and what’s your favorite thing about it?

RD: The “home away from home” feeling I got the minute I stepped onto campus, the beautiful architecture throughout campus, and the co-op program.

HC: I’ve recently heard that you’ve been tapped into Collegiate 100. Congratulations! How does it feel?

RD: It feels great, knowing that your hard work and dedication around campus is being recognized! Although I’m not the head man in charge, my background work was noticed by my colleagues and I gladly appreciate it!

HC: What do you think is your biggest accomplishment since entering UC?

RD: Being a Dean’s List recipient for the past school, and being tapped into Collegiate 100 Black Men’s Honorary.

HC: What’s the weirdest thing we would find in your fridge?

RD: My keys (I tend to forget those in there from time to time when coming home to make a sandwich).

HC: Where do you see yourself after graduation?

RD: After undergrad, I will go directly into my master’s program whether I’m here at UC for the joint six year program in the Masters of Community Planning or at a grad school down south (preferably in New Orleans or Atlanta).

HC: What’s the perfect meal a girl can cook for you?

RD: Steak and potatoes!

HC: In closing, how does it feel to be considered a Campus Celebrity and how do you handle juggling all these involvements?

RD: I’m humbled that Autumn considered me as a “Campus Celebrity” because I don’t see myself as one at all. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and time management to juggle all my involvements but I wouldn’t have it any other way. This has made my collegiate career fly and in the end it’ll all be worth it! Thanks for considering me as a “Campus Celebrity.”
