It’s National (insert random noun here) Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chapel Hill chapter.

When I can get a free donut from Krispy Kreme on National Donut Day or spend a whole day instagramming multiple pictures of my dog on National Pet Day, I forget the troubles of life.  I can’t express how often I see a sign or photo caption celebrating National (insert random noun here) Day.  I have to admit, I like to play along with the more popular days such as National Coffee Day and National Play Outside Day.  However, just about anyone can mark their calendar and claim we must honor a certain object for the next 24 hours.  Just how ridiculous can 30/31 days of National worship of (insert random noun here) get?  Take a look for yourself.
