During your 19th year of life, you’re probably getting through your second year of college, studying to pursue your dreams and having crazy nights with your girls. During Kendall Jenner’s 19th year of life, she walked in Chanel, appeared in French Vogue, and became the face of Estée Lauder.
That’s right, at 19, Kendall did all of that.
She announced her news on Nov. 14 on her Instagram account.
“I am super excited to announce that I am the new face of @esteelauder!! Check out http://www.esteelauder.com/kendall to see more… I still can’t believe it myself!”
Neither can we, Kendall.
Some people commented on her new success by saying she doesn’t have enough experience to take on such a big gig. Other top models, like Liu Wen and Joan Smalls, worked toward their dreams for years before they were at the top of their game. Kendall got her contract after two seasons, and some people think it’s too soon.
On the other hand, I don’t think Estée Lauder would sign someone who is incapable of being the new face of the company. So, it’s been said before and I’ll say it again: haters gon’ hate. Kudos to Kendall for being a 19 year old super model!
