Move over Christmas decorations, downtown Phoenix is making way for the Super Bowl! Super Bowl XLIX will be held in Glendale, Arizona, on Feb. 1, 2015 and downtown Phoenix is already starting to prepare. The downtown area is a popular spot for bars to watch the big game, and these new decorations will be waiting right out side.

This new Super Bowl football statue can be found on 1st Avenue and Washington Street. It reps the hashtag #SB49 promoting all of its spectators to join the conversation. According to Even Beck of Fox Sports Arizona, the statue is 7,000 pounds and stands over 20 feet tall.

Another Super Bowl gem to be found in downtown Phoenix is the statue outside of the Renaissance Square building just feet away from the giant football statue. This one has his game-face on and is ready to show some football pride with his new T-shirt.

Finally, downtown residence are very familiar with the netted sculpture above called, “her secret is patence.” It recently got a facelift. On Dec. 2, 2014, the nets were taken down and put back up in an effort to make the colors more vibrant in time for the Super Bowl.

Along with these downtown finds, some of the light rails have been sporting Super Bowl logos as well. These are just a handful of Phoenix’s additions for the Super Bowl. There are plenty more to come as game day draws nearer.
