3 Tips to Dress for Winter Weather

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IUP chapter.

Weather in Indiana, PA can be unbearable at times. Sometimes the sun is beaming, but most often we don’t see the sun for days and it is freezing. During the first few weeks of the spring semester however, the weather is all over the place. We face freezing mornings and sunny afternoons, with all kinds of precipataion in between. This weather can be particularly hard to plan and dress for, especially for the people who do not have time to go back home and slip on different outfits between classes or jobs. Her Campus has a few suggestions that should make getting dressed for the wacky weather a little bit easier:

1.  Layer

Wear pieces that are easy to remove or put on when the temperature starts to vary throughout the day.

2.  Dress Light

You can always carry a light jacket with you in the morning or evening, but for those afternoons dress light so you still be comfortable.

3.  Be Prepared

Just because the weather is dreary does not mean your outfit has to be. Those rain boots can be an accessory too!
