1) Your most ideal place to live in the world and why?I would definitely say Vancouver, B.C. Hands down, the most beautiful place you can live in. It’s got the city vibe, and the laid-back mountainous vibe. It’s the best of both worlds.

2) Hidden talent or quirk?I can’t burp! Even if I try, it’s the smallest hiccup. I don’t know if that’s a hidden talent, or something I should’ve said in this interview, but I’d say it’s a talent!

3) What would you do with a million dollars?I would give a check of $10,000 to anyone I know that has struggled financially, especially people close to my heart that have worked so hard just to survive. Money may not buy happiness but it does buy time; so I’d like to help them out so they can enjoy life for a bit, even if it’s just for a small amount of time.

4) What did you want to be when you were a kid? When I was younger, I wanted to be a singer. I had no problem putting on shows in my living room every day. Although I had to force some people to sit down and watch me dance, I still did it.

5) What is your biggest pet peeve?I get annoyed when people’s responses or comments are extremely competitive. It’s my biggest pet peeve when someone makes a comment that shines the attention back on him or her. It takes a lot of integrity to be truly happy for someone, not waiting for your turn to talk about yourself. I guess it’s the insecurity in their answers that bother me the most.

6) What’s been a favourite memory at Carleton? In the last four years, my favorite memory at Carleton would have to be participating in the SBSS Dodgeball Tournament last week. I was on a team with my dearest friends and it was awesome being able to have fun and get competitive. I’ve never laughed that hard… I was on the floor tearing up at one point from laughing too hard.

7) Who is someone you look up to?I look up to my grandma. Not only did she raise my brother and I but also she was the first person to show me that even people who have that much life experience may not always have it together. She allows herself to break down when she needs to, and pull herself back together after she acknowledges her pain, instead of being strong all the time.In terms of celebrities, I definitely respect Emma Stone because she is just way too cool to be normal.

8) What is something you wish you knew or could go back and tell yourself in first year?It goes by FAST. You get to your last term, you’ll do whatever it takes to put on the breaks. So whatever it is you think is a big deal, try not to stress about it.  Oh, and if you can, try to make decisions for yourself, without being “tied down” by someone else. I regret not going on an exchange because I was worried about my social life too much. Go do what you want to do!

9) What is the best compliment you’ve received? The nicest compliment I’ve ever received was when someone told me I had a great smile. It’s nice to know that whether I gain weight, lose weight, cut my hair short, or dress weird, at least I have my smile! And the best compliment I’ve ever received was when a guy told me I was interesting. I would take that compliment over anything, any day, because that’s saying my personality is intriguing, not the way I look.

10) What goals are you hoping to accomplish this year?I’m hoping to survive this cold weather. After that, I’m hoping to visit the Governor General’s mansion (free tour by the way), and also make the most of Ottawa before I have to pack it all up and move on to the next.
