With yet another semester upon us, money is being spent- but not on what we want to be spending it on. With the stress of new classes and their costly book fees, we might have to make some financial sacrifices. Here are some things we could possibly, and would rather be doing with are money:
With no more home cooked meals, accepting that you have to eat at a dinning hall is all too real; we would much rather be spending our money on a meal from our favorite restaurant with our friends.
A new semester means new dorm inspiration; we would much rather be splurging on new throw pillows than a history textbook.
When coming back from break you want to rock a new purse or pair of heels for those fun nights out with your friends. That certainly sounds like a way better use of my money.
Starbucks; with a tight budget you may have to cut back on your coffee runs, something that is necessary to get through the day.
Spring break is approaching and your friends are starting to make tropical plans but you just spent the price of a plane ticket on a textbook. Can’t we compromise so I can at least read Shakespeare on a beach somewhere?
After a long weekend, brunch is almost always the cure; eggs benedict trump a costly textbook any day.
