Guydance: Guidance for you from the guys of Her Campus

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Winona chapter.

Yes, we all have that one guy friend that we go to for advice, but you’ve probably hit a point where you’re just not buying it anymore, he is not-so-secretly in love with you, or you’ve seen his own advice fail. Behold: GUYdance, guidance for you provided by the Her Campus Guys. As women, we think we usually have a pretty good handle on what guys like and don’t like, how we should act on a date, and what kind of gifts the men in our lives should receive. But has anyone actually tested our own theories? This is our chance to have all of our questions answered by Winona’s finest men.

You may be questioning their credibility. Meet Christian Bartz and Austin Opfer, Her Campus Winona’s excellent male writers.

Christian is a senior broadcasting student with a background in both radio and print. He is currently the Research Director for the Society of Collegiate Journalists Winona chapter and also one of Winona’s Her Campus OGs.

Austin is a dedicated student majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Communications. Austin is also football player and a very social person. Growing up with several sisters and no brothers, Austin has had more than his share of women issues and advice giving. Getting older and being around women through all aspects of college life and athletics, Austin has grown to really have passion for helping others through personal problems. Her Campus Winona gave Austin the opportunity to express himself through his writing and to learn more about connecting with women, so he can better himself. Guydance is something he is excited and passionate about. He himself has been through very tough relationship issues but through thick and thin things worked out for him and he deems his insight valuable for those who need advice, guidance or even just an ear.

Now is your chance to have all of your worries relieved and questions answered. “I like him, is it okay if I ask him out?” “What should I do for holidays if we’re not official?” “What if I’m the one who was friend-zoned?” “Why doesn’t he want to have sex?” “He has lots of friends who are girls, how do I deal?”. Submit your anonymous question and/or situation for the men to answer and they will provide us all with a little guydance.
