Everyone knows how miserable it is to be sick. However, there is some delight that comes out of being able to lay around and watch movies all day! Netflix makes this so much easier as well, offering a wide range of options from your sickbed. But what to choose? Rather than binge watch your favorite TV show again, check out some of these flicks, perfect to watch when you’re feeling crummy!

1. Will & Kate

Really, any Lifetime movie is a delight to indulge in, especially when you’re ill. But this Lifetime retelling of the story of Will and Kate reigns supreme. It begins with the pair meeting at university and follows their courtship all the way up until their engagement. Accuracy is questionable, but the drama and romance is undeniable. Personal favorite moment is when Prince Harry offhandedly remarks about how no one would care if he’d die, since he’s “just the spare.” Gotta love some younger sibling snark mixed into this emotional drama!

2. Clueless

This is just a great movie in general. Some may find Cher Horowitz ditzy and well, clueless, but this movie is great for a pick-me-up laugh. And once you get past the kind of creepy stepbrother romance, the storyline with Josh is great as well. Not to mention, the fashion is fantastic. Who can forget Cher’s iconic yellow plaid getup?

4. Any Disney movie

You know how being sick makes you miss being a little kid? There was nothing like the days where you had your parents to take care of you when you were home sick. Netflix has an abundance of kids’ movies to allow you to relive your childhood days as you curl up in bed. Take your pick from classics like Pocahontas, Tarzan, and Mulan.

5. Mean Girls

You can also throw it back to your junior high days by watching everyone’s favorite middle school movie. The quippy humor and familiarity of this old cult classic will have you feeling better in no time! Plus, it’s always good to have a one-liner from this movie in your back pocket for any occasion. (“She doesn’t even go here!”)

No matter how sick you’re feeling, sometimes all it takes is a few good movies to pick you up. Just watch some of these and you’ll be feeling better in no time!
