Alex Lieberman & Austin Rief: Morning Brew is a free daily e-newsletter that serves as a one-stop shop to keep college students up-to-date on the business world. Everything from the conversational and witty tone it is written in, to the interview question of the day/business term of the day/food for thought, to the short and digestible summaries of major stories identify with the aspiring business minds ages 17 to 25 that we’re targeting. People read current business news because they feel like they have to. With how we’ve created this product, you’ll read the Morning Brew because you want to.
HC: How did you get the idea to start Morning Brew?
AL: After spending 3 hours a day preparing friends for interviews and providing companies with my view on the business world, I decided that there had to be a more productive platform to quickly inform business-interested college students. I then brought on Austin to the team and out of our conversations came Morning Brew, which is the one-stop shop for everything business.
HC: Where do you hope to take it within the next 10 years?
AL & AR: We hope to continue to grow Morning Brew’s user-base at the college level and ultimately gain exposure in all analyst and associate classes in major business markets (NYC, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Washington D.C.). We aspire for this to become the go-to daily business read for busy professionals and also guide young professionals to achieve their career goals.
