Weirdest thing you’ve overheard in Lockes?
I overheard some of the lacrosse players talking about how cute this puppy was.
You really don’t hear of a lot of female math majors, what inspired you to take that on?
My AP Calculus teacher in high school, I went into the class hating math but after putting in so much work its satisfying to get something out of it, plus I’ve always been good at math so it’s kind of easy for me!
What’s your dream job?
Become an allergist at Mt, Sinai hospital in NY, because I’ve been going to an allergist since I was 3 years old and I always loved how she interacts with her patients and having a food allergy I think I’ll be able to relate to mine well, plus the research that she does is so cool!
Who has been the most influential person in your life?
Definitely my Mom. She’s been through a lot in her life and she can always see the positives in life no matter how much happens. She’s just such a strong person and always puts me and my sister before herself; she’s always been so selfless.
If you could give one piece of advice to a large group of people what would it be?
Don’t choose your major because of how much money you’ll make, students pick majors that they think will only make them money, but if you hate your job, that’s not worth it. If you do what you love the money will fall into place.
Being a tour guide at MC you’ve shown a ton of incoming freshman/potential students around the school. What’s your favorite thing to show them?
I love to show them our room because they get to see what you can do with the space. You get to make it your own and students love seeing a room that students actually live as opposed to an empty, boring room. I also love showing the chapel because It’s pretty.
What’s the weirdest question a family has asked you about MC?
One kid asked me if people live in Thomas Hall, after I already told him that this was the dinning hall.
