Eyebrows can make or break your look, and its important to keep them groomed and on fleek. Besides waxing and plucking, there is a fairly new method of achieving perfect brows called threading. You have probably seen the kiosks or little boutiques or salons in the mall that offer eyebrow threading. The first thing that runs through your mind is that it looks a little sketch, and the second thing is probably how is a thread going to make my eyebrows look good? Most of us have probably opted to steer clear of the threading places and stick with our usual plucking and waxing routines.

At first, I had the same skeptical thoughts as everyone else. I told myself that I would stick to my regular eyebrow routine, until my friend who swore by threading convinced me to try it. Once I actually tried it, I loved the results and now I swear by threading too.

So what exactly is threading? Eyebrow threading is a practice of shaping the eyebrows using a cotton thread. The twisting action of the thread traps the hair and lifts it out of the follicle. The best part about threading is that the more you do it, the more sparse and fine the hair re-growth becomes.

Most of us have probably been through the pain that is eyebrow waxing and plucking. Good looking brows come at a price (pain), but with threading that pain is definitely reduced. The first time hurts a little, but the more you do it the less painful it is.

You may be wondering what you can expect when you go to a threading place. It’s true, some of these places look a little questionable at first—but they are eyebrow experts. They will sit you down in a chair similar to a chair that you would get your hair done in, lean you back a little, and then start to work their brow magic. The process is quick, fairly painless, and you end up with some seriously killer brows that won’t grow out as fast as they would if you got them waxed. Eyebrow threading is worth it in all aspects and it is the best method to keep your brows on fleek all the time.
