With Mother’s Day just around the corner, I decided to pay a tribute to all of our best friends out there! This is for you Mom!
1. She gives the Best Advice
From sending her pictures of different outfits for your date, to calling her crying at three in the morning because you found out your boyfriend cheated one you, your mom has always been able to give you the best advice
2. She will do you laundry
One of the best parts about going home is that she will happily and willingly do your laundry for you, and you are more than willing to oblige her.
3. She gave birth to you!
She went through hours of painful labor, carried you in her stomach for nine months, and sacrificed a lot in order for you to be in this world. Isn’t that reason enough?
4. She knows the most about you
She knows about the scar on your knee from when you fell off the treadmill, and how you can’t sleep at night without a nightlight. These are things she just gets about you. It’s pretty great.
5. She cooks your favorite meals for you
When you go home, she rolls out the red carpet and takes the time and effort to make you your favorite meals.
6. And she will take you out to your favorite restaurants.
Craving your favorite salad? Or the best pizza in town? She will take you to your favorite restaurant just to make you happy, no strings attached. How cool is that?
7. She gives you a little extra to spoil you
She will sacrifice going short on money for a week if it means that you get to go to lunch with your friends at Chipotle. She won’t even make you feel bad about it either.
8. She will sing in the car with you
Jay-Z should sign you two onto Def Jam because you two are hot!
9. She will tickle you when you’re sad
Because she knows that will make you laugh, even when her lame and corny jokes cannot.
10. You’ve thrown up on her…and she still loves you
Multiple times too. But unlike the cutie at the bar, she won’t disappear from your life ever again. She will just disappear for the amount of time it takes to shower and get right back to your side
11. You have her facial features
You two may not be twins, but you can definitely tell you’re related.
12. She will always be the most upfront with you
If you’re acting stupid and ruining your life, you mom will tell you. Similarly, if you’re doing too much and running yourself too thin, she will also tell you.
13. But she won’t do it too harshly
14. She worries about you all the time
You’re the cause of her grey hair, I’m sure
15. She gives medicinal hugs
Best hugs in the country!
16. And she knows just how to rub out the knot between your shoulders.
Whether you slept wrong, or you have a sports injury, she knows just how much pressure to rub your sore muscles on. She’s a personal masseuse! Not many people can brag that they have that!
17. She’s your biggest cheerleader
She has always celebrated your successes louder than the rest of the world. She may be an annoying bragger on Facebook, but she is so proud of you, unconditionally.
18. Your #1 soldier
She will be the first person to be by your side when an injustice happens to you. She will stick up for you, support you, and comfort you. She’s like the General Patton of mothers.
19. Pedicures with your bestie are the most amazing
20. And your early morning Starbucks runs get you through the day.
She get’s a café latte with one raw sugar, and you get a chai tea with soy milk. She knows how you take your Starbucks and knows you need that caffeine jolt to get you through the day.
21. Yeah, she can be a little annoying
Can you stop calling me while I’m in class, please?
22. And a little crazy
And can you quit Facebooking my college acquaintances? I don’t even know her that well!
23. And you guys may fight every once in awhile
And I absolutely hate when we do.
24. But she’s a guaranteed best friend for life
25. And the most amazing one at that!
