Roommates or Soulmates?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USF chapter.

The new roomie situation can either be a hit or a miss. But, when it’s a hit, it’s usually the best thing ever. From strangers to best friends, here the signs that your roommate is basically your soulmate:

1.)   When you need input, it might be harsh, but she will always be honest

You tell each other everything anyways, so you can always count on each other for real moral support.

2.)   You text each other to meet up during class breaks.

… because who else are you going to eat with while you gossip about the cute boy in the class you just had?

3.)   Of course she’s your number one friend on snapchat.

And those ugly snaps that you send to each other will never see the light of day

4.)   You share EVERYTHING

Clothes? Pick out whatever you like. Shoes? So happy we’re the same size. Food? As long as you ask, and I can have some of yours.

5.)   You’re a package deal.

Neither of you are ever seen without each other. She is your partner in crime and nobody can come close to keeping up with you two.

6.)   There’s an unspoken connection between you two.

a.k.a. code words and secret signals that nobody else understands.

7.)   She never judges you being totally bizarre

Being weird together is an understatement.

8.)   Nobody else can wing woman as good as your roomie.

She knows what you want. She is the only one that will always stay up until 5 AM with you and listen to your “boys are dumb” speeches.

9.)   And when you’re still up after a long night of adventures, she’s there to take care of you.

Her feel-better remedy consists of water, pizza, and sleep.

10.)   She knows what you’re going through.

She is just as stressed with school and life as much as you are, so you’ll always have each other to lean on while trying to “college”.
