Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tampa chapter.

The Her Campus Nationals Team and their Sponsors sent our Her Campus Chapter an amazing Back to School Survival Kit that has been much appreciated during midterms week. The Survival Kits helped us look good, feel good, and do good.

Looking good while heading to an 8 am is already rough enough, especially when you don’t know whether to wear a sweatshirt to class or a bikini due to Florida’s crazy whether, but another challenge is having your 8am makeup last till your 10pm meeting.  NYC 24 eyeshadow though is a great way to feel confident in your make up all day.  Another really important piece of looking good every day is learning how to tame the mane, or at least making the messiness work for you.  Pantene’s mouse and beach spray is great for giving your messy hair a refined messy look (I like to think that is a thing).  Having glowing skin is so important for looking good and Shea Butter is so great for moisturizing your skin and giving you a healthy glow that will last the entire day.  The reason looking good is so important is because when you look good, you feel good.

Feeling good at UT can be hard, stress never seems to go away, late nights tend to be inevitable, and the UT plague seems to last the entire semester. There a few ways to help yourself feel good all semester, even when you feel like the UT plague may be the end of you.  The first thing is stay healthy, once you feel that scratching in the back of your throat it is time to take some Cold-eeze.  Cold-eeze is packed with vitamin C!  When you are exhausted, but need to get another 4 chapters read, don’t just fall asleep and cause yourself major stress in the morning, instead take a five hour energy shot and get your work done.  You will feel great for getting your work done on time and not having to stress about it any longer.  Finally the most important part of feeling good, is eating right (Yes, that means chipotle runs twice a week is totally worth it). When you look good and feel good it is literally impossible for you not to do good.  That’s why it is so important to feel good and look good (yes, even during midterms week) so we can give back to the Tampa community and the world.

Here are a few simple ways to give back on UT’s campus! Get involved in organizations such as She’s the First, it could simply just be showing up to a fundraiser to show your support.  Another great idea is to join the Peace Orgsync portal so you can stay up to date on volunteering opportunities!  They have some really cool opurtunites, my favorite so far was going to Zaskee’s Bird Sanctuary. I also suggest checking out #ActuallySheCan and their website, especially if you interested in women empowerment (which let’s be honest, who isn’t?).  There are so many ways that you can give back. Get creative, think out of the box, because that’s how real change is accomplished.  Now that we are finally getting back into the swing of things it’s time we start giving back.

#GettingBackGivingBack

Hi, I'm Chanel. I'm a Sophomore at the University of Tampa with a major in Public Health. I laugh at horror movies, don't understand romantic movies, and cry during documentaries. I am vegetarian, but I will make an exception for pepperoni pizza rolls because the plain cheese are just plan disgusting. I dream of owning a cuddly pet chicken and a tiny home. Hm... I also enjoy torturing myself by spending an hour and half in a 105 degree room to practice Bikram Yoga. That is all.
