Campus Celebrities of Fall 2015

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chatham chapter.

Some of our Campus Celebrities this fall have done incredible things! Check them out!

Maura Creighton is only a sophomore at Chatham, but she’s already making her mark on the world. With almost 8,000 followers on Instagram, she also has her own Redbubble store where she sells her incredible artwork. Recently, she designed a limited run t-shirt for Sleeping with Sirens.

Chatham junior and Her Campus writer Jess Turner is not only a talented musician, but also a member of two local bands: Teeth Like Yours and Fun Home. No stranger to the spotlight—as she has done a few poetry readings at Chatham—Jess plays many shows in Pittsburgh at various venues, showing off her incredible talent.

Katie Sarandou is a powerhouse at Chatham—writing killer articles for Odyssey every week while still managing to run the student newspaper—Communiqué. This past summer she even interned at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Cierra Snyder is one kick-butt first-year. Not only is she juggling a ton of student organizations, she’s also one of the founders of the Sustainable Impact Team. And even more importantly—to us at least, she’s one of our staff writers here at Her Campus Chatham. Cierra is extremely passionate and committed and even recently participated in the Our Generation, Our Choice rally in D.C.!

Alexis McKenna is a student who is incredibly well rounded in the arts. A singer, actress, and artist, she’s an absolute showstopper. Currently she is the secretary of the Artist Collective and a member of the Chatham Choir and Chatham Chamber Choir.

Sarah Weinschenker has a lot on her plate. As an RA, the president of the Chatham Choir, and a member of multiple student organizations, it’s impossible to imagine how she juggles it all. She also performs with the select Chatham Chamber Choir and has done performances at private and public events.

Indigo Baloch is the HC Chatham Campus Correspondent. She is a junior at Chatham University double majoring in Creative Writing and Journalism and double minoring Graphic Design and an Asian Studies Certificate. Indigo is a writer and Editorial Assistant at Maniac Magazine and occasionally does book reviews for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. She is also the Public Relations Director for The Mr. Roboto Project (a music venue in Pittsburgh) and creates their monthly newsletter. During her freshman and sophomore year, Indigo was the Editor-in-Chief of Chatham's student driven newsprint: Communique. Currently, on campus, Indigo is the Communications Coordinator for Minor Bird (Chatham's literary magazine), the Public Relations Director for Chatham's chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, and a Staff Writer and Columnist for Communique. She has worked as a Fashion Editorial Intern for WHIRL Magazine, and has been a featured reader at Chatham's Undergraduate Reading Series and a featured writer in Minor Bird. She loves art, music, film, theater, writing, and traveling.
