“The Hunger Games of Shopaholics”

Black Friday, the best day of the year for all shopaholics out there. The day people act as if the world is ending and that Forever 21 shirt or Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer will save your soul.

For all of you brave people who decide to conquer the mazes of sales and the hungry shoppers, here are some tips to having a Happy Black Friday.

  1. A week before…

Plan Ahead

You should think of the stores you plan to go and what you’re looking for. Search in the store’s websites if they already published the sales. Also, check websites like College Fashion.com, which gives a list of the Black Friday sales of common known stores.

Tip:

Analyze if there’s a better moment to buy what you are looking for. Usually, Electronics are cheaper in January and Clothings when the season end.

2. Make a Game Plan (Shopping Plan)

Prioritize the stores and the articles you are looking for in order of importance and availability. Make a plan of the order of the stores that you are planning on visiting, but be open to changes due to the chaos.

3. Day before… (Thanksgiving)

       Plan your outfit

The day before, on Thanksgiving, think of a comfortable outfit. As a veteran of Black Friday, I recommend jeans, sweater or t-shirt, tennis shoes or  a comfortable pair and a cross body purse. You are looking for an outfit that will keep you active and some shoes that will protect your feet from crazy shoppers.

4. Black Friday

      Breakfast of Champions

Eat a sustainable breakfast that will keep you active from 12am to 12pm. If you are not used to eating breakfast then take some snacks. I recommend coffee or a waking up drink.

Cultivate your Patience

When you get to the store, a great amount of people will already be there. So be patient with parking,  the lines and the tsunami of people.

Just Enjoy it

Even though Black Friday is full of chaos, it’s one of the most exhilarating events. Enjoy the chaos and look for the fun in it.

HAPPY BLACK FRIDAY!!
