Fall Finals Fashion

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Davidson chapter.

Finals season brings out the best and worst of us, in attitude and apparel. With the added bonus of the holiday season upon us, it’s a pretty confusing time — is it too early to listen to Christmas music? Are finals festive enough for my Christmas sweaters? Is it even possible to focus on passing my Econ class when Christmas in Davidson is in full swing?

Well, in the middle of my second fall semester finals season at Davidson, I still don’t know the answers to these questions, but I do know that when it comes to finals couture, I fall into one of two camps: the “Dress for Success” model or “Roll Out of Bed” model, depending on my motivation level and the amount of sleep I’m getting. Either way, I just want to be comfortable while I sit through a grueling three hour Spanish essay. Here are some looks you’ll find roaming the halls of Chambers over the next ten days:

1. The Classic Onesie and Uggs Combo*

*Except no one will look this happy or rested while sporting this getup. A more realistic picture would include some crumbs and coffee stains leftover from a late night in the library.

2. The Put Together Professional*

*Noble, but also unrealistic for 99% of the female population. I would need an hour to look this good, and that’s an hour I could spend studying napping.

3. The Comfy and Cute*

*Realistic, if I still lived in California where the weather would accomodate this look. Add a fleece and some boots and this is decently accurate.

4. The Sophie Johnson*

*If you know SJ, you know that this is pretty much spot on, if you ignore the Tri Delta logo. A tried and true outfit of champions.
