12 Problems Only People With Dyed Hair Will Understand

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at PSU chapter.

It has become such a big trend to dye our hair so many different (and unnatural) shades, but we all know there are some major bummers that go along with it.

1. Establishing that we dye our hair because we want to look nice for ourselves and not for other people.

2. For people with dark hair: having to bleach our hair before we can dye it.

3. Maintaining the bright color.

4. Constantly needing to dye our roots all the time.

5. Crying a little inside every time we see dye from our heads go down the drain.

6. Constantly needing to buy tons of dyes (in tons of colors).

7. Needing to wash the dye stains from our towels.

8. Always stocking up on hair dye, bleach, tinfoil, gloves, hair conditioner and bowls.

9. Worrying about the split ends.

10. But dyeing it anyway.

11. Becoming addicted and then proceeding to dye our hair every color of the rainbow at least once.

12. Not being able to stop despite how ruined our hair is.

So just remember: If you are going to dye your hair in the future, make sure you take care of it and take every safety precaution out there.

Happy dyeing, collegiettes!
