Pace College’s Sorted Into Hogwarts Houses

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pace chapter.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is here… Pace has just begun its first year at Hogwarts and it is time to be sorted by the infamous sorting hat. Which college will be sorted where you ask? After much thought from the sorting hat, the results are in:

Lubin School of Business : Slytherin

“Slytherin will help you on the way to greatness.”

Lubin School of Business, welcome to Slytherin! Slytherins are known for being ambitious, creative, and resourceful. Slytherins also tend to stick up for their own, unlike Gryffindor’s who tend to care about themselves. Lubin’s values are a great asset to the Slytherin house, professional, personal, innovative, and collaborative. Lubin will give you the connections that will allow you to succeed in the business world! The reason why you were placed into this house was because Lubin is “destined” for greatness, or at least has the potential to be great! Lubin, welcome to the “coolest and edgiest house in the school.”

Dyson College of Arts and Sciences: Gryffindor

“Where dwell the brave at heart, their daring, nerve and chivalry set Gryffindors apart.”

Dyson College of Arts and Sciences is the largest school at Pace, made up of many different majors all trying to succeed in their career. Dyson tends to show-off that they have more students in their school than the others. Lets just say that Dyson is a TRUE Gryffindor! Gryffindor house values courage, bravery, and determination. Dyson must have a lot of courage to hold that many majors! Dyson touches on so many professional fields that it is way to hard to keep up sometimes, sorry Lubin. Dyson should be very proud that they are in the Gryffindor house, but just don’t get too cocky.

Seidenberg School of CSIS: Ravenclaw

“Wit beyond measure is man’s greatest treasure”

Seidenberg, the school of all electronics and javascript, welcome to Ravenclaw! Ravenclaws are intellectual and knowledgeable.  They analyze problems that would be difficult for others in a different house, but non-Ravenclaws can solve them.  The Ravenclaw common room and dormitories are located in a tower on the west side of the castle, AKA 2nd Floor of 163 William, and must answer a riddle, or “code”, to enter. Ravenclaws tend to be very eccentric, the individual.  Seidenberg students, tend to hang out with other Seidenberg students, talking about the new codes they learned in class or the latest gadget that just was developed. Seidenberg, you will enjoy your time in Ravenclaw.

School of Education: Hufflepuff

“Where they are just and loyal, those patient Hufflepuffs are true, and unafraid of toil.”

The education school is fairly new to the NYC campus, which makes them the school that is talked about the least. This is very similar to how Hufflepuff is treated at Hogwarts.  All of the other houses tend to say that it is bad to be sorted into Hufflepuff, but that is not true! Hufflepuff’s are patient and friendly, they believe in fair play and loyalty. It takes a lot of courage and patience to be in a major in the education school. Hufflepuff is the least competitive house and are more modest about their accomplishments. The school of education might be small and “underestimated” like the Hufflepuff’s emblem, the badger, but they are just as brilliant as any other house.  Also, Hufflepuff is home to Newt Scamander, who first discovered the magical properties of the number seven! Wait till the future graduates of Pace’s education school are teaching that to their students one day!
