Curbside Bites: Food Truck Heaven

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at San Diego chapter.

Food trucks seem to be the latest trend in tasty food served quickly, and Curbside Bites has taken advantage of this newfound popularity. Every Wednesday in Downtown San Diego, at India St. and W B St intersection, food trucks gather at eleven until two to feed the lunch rush. If you’re a foodie, this is a must! Here is a list of the delicious food trucks that meet at this location.

The Currywurst Truck

This is the German Gourmet Food Truck that will fulfill all your meat eating needs! Come hungry, because you are sure to leave full to the brim.

Cousins Maine Lobster Truck

If you’re looking for some of the best seafood in San Diego, Cousins Main Lobster serves up fresh lobster every Wednesday! Finish off your meal with one of their whoopie pies and call it a day.

Mangia Mangia Mobile Truck

This Italian food truck recommends their lobster ravioli, the Mangia burger, or what sounds like heaven on earth, the Italian lollipop, which they describe as meatballs on sticks dipped in tempura and fried. If you’re dieting, stay far, far away.

God Save The Cuisine Truck

Described as a British influenced gourmet food truck, their menu features a “fish and chips” taco, a Big Ben Burger, and lots of fresh fish options.

Salt + Lime Food Truck

This truck is always sure to have a long line, but with the authentic Mexican food it serves, the wait is well worth it. Tacos, tostadas, bowls, burritos, sandwiches, quesadillas, and even a nutella chimichanga for dessert, the options are endless.

If you have free time next Wednesday, this is the place to be!
