What is the Night Market?

Chester Porter: The night market is a new event hosted by Green Team at CNU and WCNU radio. It’s essentially going to be a farmers market but starting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21. It will have almost all student vendors, all student performers, two student bands and one student DJ to provide our evening entertainment.

What can be bought at the Night Market?

Chester Porter: Well we’re still accepting applications for anyone who wants to sell or perform. Currently we have some vendors selling repurposed clothing, crocheted items, canvas paintings, and we are getting more applications every day, so I’m looking forward to see what people bring.

What kind of entertainment can we expect at the night market?

Chester Porter: Entertainment is being provided by WCNU radio. Our student DJ will be the performer PRZM, otherwise known as Jack Hurley. And we have spoken with two bands but don’t have anything in writing yet, so for right now, they’ll be kept a surprise. I will say they are two really good bands we hope to see there.

Any final credit you would like to give?

Chester Porter: This event would not be happening if it weren’t for the tireless efforts of Trevor Eads and Jack Hurley. Jack Hurley has been my WCNU representative and Trevor Eads is next year’s Farmers Market Chairman. They have both been indispensable in this whole process.

Come to the night market on Thursday, April 21st from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at CNU!
