There’s no doubt about it that the 2016 Presidential Election is one of the most important events going on today. Between Donald Trump and the Republican Party close to falling apart to #FeelTheBern and #I’mWithHer, it’s understandable to want to de-stress and think about something else. While this list may not help you focus on something other than poltics, it does provide you with five politcal and government-themed TV series to watch in order to take your mind off the real world poltics.

1. Veep

2. Madam Secretary

3. Parks and Recreation

4. House of Cards

5. Scandal

Maybe this election has too much drama for your liking, in which case, I’d suggest watching Veep or Parks and Recreation for a more comedic take on government and politcs. Maybe you think this election doesn’t have enough drama — if so, Scandal and House of Cards are great options to get your fill of drama.
