Sometimes it’s difficult to find the perfect shade and consistency in a concealer.  It’s either too thick, or doesn’t cover what it’s meant to. Concealer is meant to cover up dark circles, blemishes, and can even be used to highlight and contour. Here are five of my favorites. Enjoy!

1. LA Girl Pro Concealer

Okay, first off, these are so inexpensive. You can get one for $5.00. They come in all shades and even have shades for color correcting. These are pretty full coverage. I don’t really use them under my eyes, but I strongly recommend these for color correcting, covering a blemish and highlighting and contouring. Since they are so inexpensive, it’s easy to try them and see if you like them! On the website, it’s hard to see the colors, so make sure to look up swatches! You can get them at www.lagirlusa.com.

2. Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer

If you are just having a bad skin day and need to cover blemishes or hyperpigmentation or acne scarring, this is the concealer for you. This is super full coverage and masks any problem area. It dries matte, so you wont have any added shine or unwanted “stickiness.” You can get it at Sephora for $34.

3. Sephora Collection Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer

The great thing about Sephora Collection products is that they are high quality for about half the cost of high-end brands. I swear by this concealer for under the eyes. It goes on so smoothly and blends out with such ease. It’s super lightweight and has a gentle applicator so it’s perfect for applying under the eyes. Get it at Sephora for $14.

4. Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing Industrial-Strength Full Coverage Concealer

This concealer is described as an “industrial-strength concealer that does not crease,” and that couldn’t be more accurate. Boi-ing is very pigmented, and will cover everything from dark circles to big blemishes. It is different from the Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer because it does not dry matte.

This is better for someone who needs a stronger coverage for under their eyes. I still recommend setting this after application with a translucent powder. Your eyes will look bright and happy all day. You can get Boi-ing at Sephora for $20.

5. Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer

My mom uses this concealer and sometimes I will steal it from her because it’s that good. This will brighten your under-eye area as well as create a soft and dewy highlight. All Tarte products are vegan and they are made for a range of skin tones so that all women can enjoy them. Get this wonderful concealer at Sephora for $25.

Now, go and pick the right shade!
