Now that classes are over for the semester, you probably have found yourself trying to figure out just how to study for the chaos that is finals week. Maybe you are looking for a study break or just want to do something a little more fun than spend all day everyday in Case for your last week at Colgate. In honor of the last week at Colgate, we have made a bucket list of the top 10 things you need to do at Colgate before you leave for the semester!

1. Go to Gilligan’s

If you are willing to get out of Hamilton for a while, Gilligan’s makes the short trip to Sherburne so worth it. Go for the delicious burgers and fries, but stay for the unreal homemade ice cream. If you are feeling spirited, try the raider passion, a flavor for us colgate students!

2. Hamilton Farmers Market

Get a taste of amazing local food right on the village green here in hamilton. The Farmer’s Market opens up again for Saturdays in May. You can find everything there from fresh produce to locally made cheeses, breads, clothing and more.

3. Take a Cruise

It sounds silly, but sometimes it’s awesome to see your surroundings here. If it’s a nice day there is nothing better than just driving around with the windows down, seeing all of the farms and cute animals.

4. Lake Moraine

It may be too cold to go in Lake Moraine right now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it. Drive down there to see the sunset because it is just beautiful.

5. Darwin’s Thinking Path

Take a walk or a run down Darwin’s Thinking Path. As you go through the woods you and all you can see are trees, you might almost forget that you are on the Colgate campus. But don’t worry, you are!

6. Maxwell’s

Treat yourself to some delicious treats at Maxwell’s right in town. After all that studying you deserve a piece of chocolate…or the whole box.

7. Hamilton Theater

Go see a movie at the Hamilton Theater. A matinee showing or any movie on Tuesday will only cost you $5.75. It’s a great activity for a rainy day or any day when you’re craving that movie theater experience

8. Late Night Frank

This last week take advantage of the fact that there is a place on campus where you can get food at any time of day. Literally, any time. When you need that midnight study break ditch the lib cafe muffins and go to frank to have one last delicious Ed burger.

9. Walk through Little

Little Hall is home to the art and art history departments. Here you can not only find the Clifford Art Gallery, but the artwork of students placed throughout the building. Take a walk through to see just how talented your colgate peers are.

10. Colgate Sign Photo-Op

This is pretty weird, but pretty generic too. You have probably seen many photo-ops in front of, or on top of, the Colgate sign. Embarrassing? Maybe. But, what better way to commemorate a great year here.

Happy end of the semester, and good luck to all of our seniors!!!
