4 Hacks to a successful semester

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Albany chapter.

School is in full swing now.  It’s getting chillier at night, and our last days of summer are near.  Let’s not forget why we’re here!  Here are 5 easy ways to make sure you’re organized and on your A-Game this semester!

1. Organize your computer files

This is something that I personally live by.  I use Google Drive and create a file for all of my different classes.  You’re able to color code the files as well which is pretty helpful (plus the colors are awesome).

2.  Prepare in advance

Admit it.  We’ve all known of a huge assignment and waited until the last minute to get started on it.  Save yourself the stress this time around.  Working section by sections days (or even weeks) in advance will leave your mind and body (no all nighters here!) feeling at ease.

3.  Use planners and calendars

It’s a great way to stay on track with not only your assignments, but also social events.  When you look at your calendar and see that homecoming weekend is the same week as your midterm review, you can plan in advance how you will conquer every assignment.

4. Have a spa day

Since many of us are ballin on a budget, a spa day could be a day in with your suitemates excahnging face masks with each other.  For those who want to go all out, there are plenty of great spa deals on GroupOn!

So, with these four hacks, I wish you the best semester yet.  Make the most out of it!
