September 20th, 2016 is a day that will go down in Hollywood history: the day that Brangelina was no more. After 12 long years together, and six children later, the iconic couple that is Brad Pitt and Angelia Jolie called it quits. Pretty heartbreaking, right? It leaves all of us wondering if real love can truly last forever.
While the population is sitting over here in shock over the news of the breakup, there’s someone we know that was just waiting in the wings for this to happen; Jennifer Aniston.
Rumors about the speculation of Brad & Angelina having an affair started when they met on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith back in 2004. At the time, he was married to Jennifer, and they were the epitome of the perfect Hollywood couple. Sorry Jen, we were all rooting for you guys too.
When the news finally broke that Brad & Angelina were together, it took the world by shock, and everyone was kind of confused. Brad & Jennifer were literally the cutest couple ever, and now some new girl was taking her place and nothing seemed right in the world.
As time passed though, Brad and Angelina managed to turn into one of Hollywood’s hottest power couples. They’ve been rocking the tabloids ever since their first red carpet appearance, and continue to shock the world by adopting children, having children, and traveling all over the world doing fantastic things.
Time kept passing but the one thing that never really seemed to stop was the constant backlash that Jennifer got. The break up was clearly hard enough, but the tabloids still continued talking about how Jen & Brad went wrong.
The breakup of Brad & Angelina (and Jen) just goes to show that not everything perfect is meant to stay. With (most) Hollywood couples, the break-up always comes too soon. All there is to say is that Jennifer Aniston probably slept with a smug smile on her face the night she heard about their break-up.
Whether you were Team Jen or Team Angelina, I think it’s safe to say we’re all pretty sad over the split. Their relationship was powerful and everything we all aspire to have in a serious relationship, #couplegoals. You will be missed, Brangelina.
