We’ve all acknowledged by now that the 2016 presidential election is a horrendous situation overall. Particularly to women, the most abhorrent attribute is the mere existence of Donald J Trump. His comments and general attitude toward women are absolutely nauseating.

With this in mind, women’s media sources like Cosmopolitan magazine and HuffPost Women have expressed their disdain.  Trump’s beliefs on the subject of women are unacceptable and these sources recognize this;  when your primary audience is so distinctly attacked, of course there will be coverage.

Despite their absolute reason in writing opinionated articles opposing Trump’s campaign, the social media comments responding to them are nearly humorous in their opposition:

And, my personal favorite.  Who knew that media outlets have a target audience to which they cater?

If the grammar wasn’t off putting enough (somebody get these folks a dictionary?), the arguments are laughable.  It seems like every Trump supporter’s argument is “But Hillary….” Even more so, “But BILL.”  Obviously a woman can’t have any autonomy once she’s married and her husbands actions become interchangeable with her own.

Remember during the first presidential debate, when Mr. Trump accused Mrs. Clinton of hurting his feelings with her negative campaigns ads?  He must have forgotten about the incessant name calling that he, his campaign, and his supporters incessantly.  “Crooked Hillary,” “Killary,” and “HilLiary” are among the most prominent.

The motivations behind many of these foul names are a direct correlation to another aspect of supporters’ “arguments:” Benghazi and the infamous emails.  While Trump supporters cry that this sort of “locker room talk” and other infidelities rising from Trump’s past are irrelevant history, they insist on rehashing the same complaints about Mrs. Clinton’s past.  These were in no way good situations, but it’s a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black.  This is politics—S&:$ happens.  But let a politician handle it,  not some whiny billionaire.

Am I a die-hard Clinton supporter? No, but I fully intend to cast my vote and do my part to keep this country safe from this latest iteration of terror tactics and ignorance.  I’ve done my research, I’ve looked at the facts, and I’ve come to the only rational conclusion.  This isn’t a matter of liking the candidate, this is a matter of basic national security.
