What are you involved with on campus?
I am a captain on the Women’s Basketball team and a writer for Her Campus St. Vincent.
How long have you been playing basketball? How did you get involved?
I have been playing basketball since I was 7years old. After realizing that I did not like dance, I tried basketball and have been in love with it every since.
Congratulations on being named DeSales Tournament MVP! How do you feel about the season so far and for the future?
Thank you! I feel great about the season. I believe we have the talent and desire to go really far this year and be a successful team.
Do you find it hard to manage your time being an athlete during school?
Some days are harder than others when it comes to managing my time, but for the most part its not too hard.
What is some advice you would give freshman when learning to juggle athletics and schoolwork?
Time management. As a freshman, if you learn how to manage your time appropriately with school and sports you can be a great student-athlete. You must know what comes first and obviously that is school.
Why did you choose your major and what would you like to do after graduation?
I chose my major because I have a passion for helping people and I believe that I can do that in my field. After graduation I would love to get a job with the FBIs Evidence Response Team.
Why did you choose to write for Her Campus St. Vincent?
I wanted to express myself and be a part of somethings else on campus and I had heard that Her Campus was a great place for me to be.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Most of the time I like to watch Netflix and enjoy my friends.
Happy belated 21st birthday! How does it feel to finally be 21?
Thank you! It hasn’t really hit me that I am ‘legal’. I think when I go out more often then I will feel like I am 21.
Who is your favorite celebrity and why?
Beyoncé. She is such a strong female figure and her personality is just amazing.
Who do you look up to?
Although she passed away in 2007, I still look up to my Auntie Erica. She taught me so much when she was alive that I still find myself everyday trying to be like her.
