4 Keys to Holiday Season Success

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WM chapter.

Everyone knows that the holiday season is a stressful time. While it may feel like there’s little that can be done to alleviate that stress — gifts must be wrapped, finals must be taken, holiday parties must be attended — it’s important to take a break and treat yo’ self every once in a while. We at HCWM tested out products that make it easier to survive the holiday season and below, we’ve listed our favorites:

1. Leaders Cosmetics Face Masks

There’s nothing quite as relaxing as an at-home spa day, and these masks make it easy to relax. Since all the face masks we tried were gel sheet masks, they were easy to get on and off and made our skin feel ~silky smooth~ without a mess. We tried the 7 Wonders Amazonian Acai Anti-pollution Mask7 Wonders Caribbean Coconut Calming Mask, and 7 Wonders Kalahari Melon Moisturizing Mask and we loved them all. This is a great way to treat yo’ self or to give as a stocking stuffer to all your friends.

2. Rimmel London Scandaleyes Original Mascara

I love mascara — it’s one of the makeup items I always wear. And this mascara was impressive; it isn’t technically waterproof but stayed on all day and didn’t smudge or clump. A+ in our book, it’s perfect for holiday and NYE parties.

3. Yogi Sweet Tangerine Positive Energy and Green Tea Blueberry Slim Life tea

Steaming hot drinks are a staple for the holiday season. If you’re looking to cut back on coffee and sugary chai lattes, this tea is worth a try. Both flavors were delicious and kept our testers alert while studying for finals late into the night and curling up in bed with a good book.

4. Book of the Month

Finding books to read for fun is tough when you’re a college student — it’s hard to find the time to research and discover the most popular and interesting books at the moment. But Book of the Month does all that work for you, and delivers you a book (from a selection of five) every month. We received Jade Chang’s The Wangs Vs. The World and were instantly immersed — the book is still being passed around by our staff. BOTM is a great way to take a break from Netflix and read this holiday season!
