Now is the time to finally get to work on all of those fabulous crafts and DIYs you saved years ago on Pinterest. If you’re anything like me, the problem is that there are so many projects you’ve pinned that you don’t even know where to start. If you need some inspiration to spark your crafty side, check out the list below for some fun projects to work on during winter break!

Bullet Journals

There are really no rules when it comes to bullet journaling because it’s entirely up to you how you set up your journal. You can use it for a daily planner to write down all of your exams and papers, or you can use it to track your yearly goals. You can look at some designs on Pinterest and steal some cute pages, or you can freeform it and do your own thing! You just need some pretty pens (I recommend these ones) and a journal and you’re ready to begin!

Sugar Scrub

It’s that time of year again when your skin feels dry and flaky 99% of the time. Sugar scrubs can be a little pricey, so why not try making it yourself? And if you make a little extra, you can definitely give it as a holiday gift. Check out this Vanilla Brown Sugar Scrub for a classic exfoliator or this Whipped Gingerbread Scrub if you’re feeling festive.

Mittens from Old Sweaters

Do you have that sweater in the back of your closet that you just haven’t had the heart to get rid of it? Or, did you accidentally get a coffee stain on your cosiest winter shirt? Here’s a project that will let you recycle your favorite sweater into a cute pair of mittens perfect for winter. It’s adorable while being eco friendly at the same time!

Bath Bombs

My biggest goal in life is to be able to afford to use a bath bomb from Lush in every bath I take. I love being able to unwind from my day in a tub full of bubbles and magical colors. $4 to $5 is a lot of money to pay for one luxurious bath, so it seems more cost effective and fun to try to make your own! Check out this website for some fun ideas on how to spice up your next bath.

Terrarium

Has your green thumb been dying to garden even though there’s a few inches of snow outside? Get your hands dirty by making an awesome terrarium that will make the rest of your plants jealous. It’s great for people who forget to water their plants for a few weeks because the some of the typical plants in a terrarium (cacti, succulents and ferns) need minimal watering.

Coffee Mug Candles

Don’t mistake this mug for an ordinary cup of Joe. This project combines two common obsessions that college students have: coffee and candles. Have fun picking out an adorable mug with an amazing aroma to create the candle of your dreams!

Adult Coloring Books

This is the perfect project for someone who wants to dip their toes into their artsy side without doing a cannonball into the deep end. Coloring books designed for adults have been out for awhile now, and they always include more complicated pages than what’s typically found in a child’s version. This coloring book is centered around adults in a completely different way. It helps you destress by keeping it real and telling you to calm the f*ck down. You can even give away the pages once you’re done to people who need a constant reminder to chill out.
